GAINS has built a demand forecasting method that trains cross-SKUL, decouples predictions for a single SKUL (e.g., the 2-month-ahead forecast can use a different model than the 3-month-ahead forecast), is applicable to new item launches, and incorporates exogenous data. Using all available data, the model finds the best method for each forecast period for each SKUL: the machine answers questions about “historical forecasting” vs. “outside in forecasting” for us. See how the model works, and how it performs relative to base GAINS forecasting.

This will accelerate our speed servicing customer questions, and also facilitate internal training. Learn how we may soon extend this to become customer-facing.
