GAINS Gives Back to Our Environment and Communities
On track to have a zero carbon footprint in 2023
GAINS is passionate about taking action to impact our global economy with sustainability and social initiatives. Our business is growing, and so is our investment in community-supporting solar energy, Haitian student lunches, and clean water access programs.
We are on track to have a zero carbon footprint in 2023 and have already saved 68,000 pounds of CO2 emissions and delivered the equivalent of 600 trees planted.
The GAINS Combined Emissions Offset and Community Center Energy Initiative has built solar arrays at multiple community hosting locations in Chicago. Every year each installation generates more than $6,000 in reduced energy costs and solar credits for the community.
Our ESG initiatives and investments are accelerating as our business grows through the following:
- GAINS increases its investment in solar arrays with every new subscribing customer. The data center energy consumed by each GAINS customer has been offset with installed solar arrays since 2018.
- GAINS provides lunch for another Haitian student through the Barco Nightingales Foundation for every new employee. The company increased its global employee count by 44 percent in the last two years and has almost doubled its commitment.
