Bill Benton

Chief Executive Officer

Since 2010, Bill has served as CEO of GAINS. In this role, Bill balances a steadfast commitment to healthy growth with world-class product innovation as well as a profound dedication to generating value for customers, career fulfillment for the extended GAINS team cognizant of the need for social-responsibility (click here for an overview of GAINS social & environmental initiatives). Bill is dedicated to continuous improvement of the GAINS’ methodology and expanding the unique GAINS value proposition well beyond the roughly 500 organizations that have already become GAINS practitioners.

Prior to 2010, Bill held several positions with GAINS culminating in his role as COO. His areas of endeavor focused upon the design, development, and delivery of the GAINS Supply Chain Optimization solution. With more than 20 years in the field, Bill is a recognized authority on Demand Planning, Inventory Optimization, Distribution and Network Optimization, S&OP, and Maintenance Optimization. He frequently engages with industry organizations, including Gartner Group.

Bill received an MBA, magna cum laude, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and BS and BA degrees, cum laude, in Econometrics and Foreign Languages (French and Spanish) from Southern Methodist University. In 1999, he was awarded the University of Chicago’s Bain Award for Strategy. Bill is also active on the board of an educational charity.
Jeff Gosz

Chief Operating Officer

A member of the GAINS management team for over a decade, Jeff is a driving force behind the team’s pursuit of supply chain excellence as the head of the Professional Services and Sales organizations. His passion for delivering substantial operational improvements to GAINS’ customers leverages deep expertise in industrial distribution, manufacturing, and metals. Jeff and his team consistently exceed expectations while providing pre-sales support, leading customer evaluation (IIPSE) studies, overseeing implementation projects, and supporting product development.

Jeff holds an MBA from the University of Chicago with honors, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, where he was awarded the Walter P. Murphy fellowship, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering, with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin.

Dave Shrager

Chief Revenue Officer

As the Chief Revenue Officer, Dave leads the sales, marketing, and alliance teams to drive growth and expand the company’s ability to deliver global customer value. Dave has an unbridled passion for customer success and a long history of helping customers leverage technology to drive tangible value and transformational outcomes.

With more than 20 years of supply chain and enterprise software industry experience, Dave joins GAINS having held leadership positions with Coupa, LLamasoft, and Oracle.  He has also contributed in key roles with high growth technology startups including Authentica, Outstart, and Responsys. 

Dave received a BS in Business Management from Tulane University.

Willis Wendell

Vice President, Process Improvement

As head of the Customer Services organization at GAINS, Willis and his team are responsible for the delivery, implementation, and on-going support of all GAINS customers. The GAINS customer-focused team comprises Consultants, Analysts, and Customer Relationship Managers who are dedicated to on-time implementation services and exceptional post-implementation support. Under Willis’ outstanding leadership and direction, the team has achieved one of the highest customer retention rates in the industry.

An experienced customer care professional, Willis has more than ten years in the field of customer relationship management, solutions implementation, and technical support.
Willis received a BA from the University of Vermont.
Leonid Fridman

Vice President, Technology

As Chief Technologist on the management team, Leonid Fridman brings more than 18 years of international and domestic experience to GAINS. In his role, Leonid manages both the GAINS software development team and the company’s IT operations department. The exceptional performance of these teams is a direct result of Leo’s insightful leadership based on his broad experience with enterprise architecture, database development, and software production.

Starting in 2000 when Leo joined the firm as a Senior Software Development Engineer and project team leader, he has steadily contributed to the successful technology developed by GAINS. Leo developed a comprehensive knowledge of systems architecture, database structure and design and Java, and in parallel grew his leadership skills. He became the ideal person to assume the position of Vice President of Technology as GAINS grew.

Leo received an MS degree from the National Technical University of Ukraine and an MBA in MIS from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
Geoffroy de Carbonnel

Senior Vice President, Product & Strategy

As Senior Vice President of Product and Strategy, Geoffroy joined the GAINS management team in 2019. In his role, Geoffroy is responsible for GAINS’s product roadmap and driving strategic initiatives for sustainable growth. Geoffroy is passionate about supply chain operations and planning in particular. He brings over 20 years of experience in the field to GAINS. Prior to joining GAINS, Geoffroy was Head of Professional Services for the Americas at ToolsGroup. Previously, he held supply chain leadership and management positions in industry, consulting, and technology, in such organizations as Honeywell, Axcelis, PRTM, PwC, and Optiant.
Geoffroy has BSEng in Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and an MS in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.

Jason Xiahou

Senior Vice President, Finance

Jason has served as our Senior Vice President of Finance since 2020. In this role, he is responsible for leading and further developing the financial, accounting, and operational infrastructure to support the company’s rapid growth. Prior to joining GAINS, Jason was a Vice President at Francisco Partners, a growth and private equity investment firm with over $24 billion in committed capital. He has been involved with several technology companies, including serving on the boards of directors of PayScale and Nextech. He began his career at Morgan Stanley in their technology investment banking group, where he advised high-growth companies on key strategic transactions.

Jason holds a B.S. in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Operations Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude.
