Bill Benton | C.E.O.
Since 2010, Bill has served as CEO of GAINSystems. In this role, Bill balances a steadfast commitment to healthy growth with world-class GAINS product innovation as well as a profound dedication to generating value for customers, career fulfillment for the extended GAINS team cognizant of the need for social-responsibility (click here for an overview of GAINS social & environmental initiatives). Bill is dedicated to continuous improvement of the GAINSystems’ methodology and expanding the unique GAINS value proposition well beyond the roughly 500 organizations that have already become GAINS practitioners.
Prior to 2010, Bill held several positions with GAINSystems culminating in his role as COO. His areas of endeavor focused upon the design, development, and delivery of the GAINS Supply Chain Optimization solution. With more than 20 years in the field, Bill is a recognized authority on Demand Planning, Inventory Optimization, Distribution and Network Optimization, SI&OP, and Maintenance Optimization. Bill is dedicated to continuous front-line engagement and continues to dedicate a portion of his time with direct problem-solving with archetypal Manufacturers, Distributors, Retailers, and Maintenance/Repair (MRO) organizations.
Bill received an MBA, magna cum laude, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and BS and BA degrees, cum laude, in Econometrics and Foreign Languages (French and Spanish) from Southern Methodist University. In 1999, he was awarded the University of Chicago’s Bain Award for Strategy. Bill is also active on the board of an educational charity.
Jeff Gosz | C.O.O.
A member of the GAINS management team for over a decade, Jeff is a driving force behind the team’s pursuit of supply chain excellence as the head of the Professional Services and Sales organizations. His passion for delivering substantial operational improvements to GAINSystems’ customers leverages deep expertise in industrial distribution, manufacturing, and metals. Jeff and his team consistently exceed expectations while providing pre-sales support, leading customer evaluation (IIPSE) studies, overseeing implementation projects, and supporting product development.
Jeff holds an MBA from the University of Chicago with honors, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, where he was awarded the Walter P. Murphy fellowship, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering, with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin.
Willis Wendell | V.P. Customer Services
As head of the Customer Services organization at GAINSystems, Willis and his team are responsible for the delivery, implementation, and on-going support of all GAINSystems customers. The GAINSystems customer-focused team comprises Consultants, Analysts, and Customer Relationship Managers who are dedicated to on-time implementation services and exceptional post-implementation support. Under Willis’ outstanding leadership and direction, the team has achieved one of the highest customer retention rates in the industry.
An experienced customer care professional, Willis has more than ten years in the field of customer relationship management, solutions implementation, and technical support.
Willis received a BA from the University of Vermont.
Ken Finkel | V.P. Business Development
Since 2014, Ken has been leading sales and marketing for GAINSystems. During that time the company has consistently grown both its revenue and customer base. With decades of supply chain experience, he’s an eloquent spokesman for the power of GAINS and its business benefits.
Ken brings a long history of success in supply chain, ERP and software sales and implementations to GAINS. Prior to joining GAINS, he was EVP at ScheduleSoft where he managed all sales and implementations. Ken’s previous positions include VP Strategic Accounts and Alliances for JDA (RedPrairie), VP Sales and Business development for Voxware, and Director and Regional Sales manager assignments at Manhattan Associates. During his career Ken has managed accounts ranging from small to large scale enterprises including Georgia-Pacific, Miller Brewing, Marathon Petroleum, the Port Authority of NY/NJ, Quaker Oats and Unilever.
Ken completed a BS in Philosophy from the University of Rochester as well as a number of continuing education classes. Outside of software, Ken is an accomplished Bluegrass banjo player.
Leonid Fridman | V.P. Technology
As Chief Technologist on the management team, Leonid Fridman brings more than 18 years of international and domestic experience to GAINSystems. In his role, Leonid manages both the GAINSystems software development team and the company’s IT operations department. The exceptional performance of these teams is a direct result of Leo’s insightful leadership based on his broad experience with enterprise architecture, database development, and software production.
Starting in 2000 when Leo joined the firm as a Senior Software Development Engineer and project team leader, he has steadily contributed to the successful technology developed by GAINSystems. Leo developed a comprehensive knowledge of systems architecture, database structure and design and Java, and in parallel grew his leadership skills. He became the ideal person to assume the position of Vice President of Technology as GAINSystems grew.
Leo received an MS degree from the National Technical University of Ukraine and an MBA in MIS from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
