The Account Executive is responsible for building strategic client relationships within a defined territory or vertical. Individuals who excel at this job have mastered the art of strategic selling by building strong relationships at CxO level throughout complex organizations. The senior level sales individual is viewed as an expert by the company and the field, having broad expertise or unique knowledge of value selling techniques. Once involved in sales pursuits, you will execute a proven sales methodology in conjunction with GAINSystems subject matter and technical experts to demonstrate the unique value our solution delivers to clients. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way to high visibility, high impact projects during a very exciting growth period for the company.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for driving net new subscription ARR; comfortable with prospecting activities to develop a qualified pipeline at least three times greater than the revenue quota
  • Manage all aspects of the sales cycle, from opportunity identification through contract negotiation
  • Work with our solutions team in order to assess and guarantee excellence in sales execution, from initial engagements through proposal delivery and contract execution
  • Demonstrate an understanding of a client’s business objectives and strategy and maintain an updated knowledge of key industry trends and challenges
  • Develop and maintain target account lists, sales forecasts, pipeline health and opportunity progression using Salesforce.com
  • Foster and maintain strong customer relationships; serving as a trusted advisor and respected expert

Our Ideal Account Executive Will Have:

  • 10+ years of sales experience with an emphasis on supply chain with SaaS preferred 
  • Proven ability to independently develop, manage and close new client relationships at CxO level in both major and mid-market accounts
  • Experience building relationships with Economic Buyers and Executive Sponsors and familiarity with MEDDIC and Salesforce.com
  • Experience serving as the lead in a team-selling environment and mobilizing internal resources from across the organization
  • Experience achieving and exceeding quota on a consistent basis
  • Mastery of a solution-based approach to selling with experience managing complex sales processes 
  • Proactive, independent thinker with high energy and a positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced and changing environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree, B.B.A. or B.S. preferred
  • Ability to travel as required
